Hi just been diagnosed start chemo on the 13 Nov really anxious
Hello Scho1961,
I noticed you hadn't yet received a response and wanted to wish you good luck for tomorrow's chemotherapy. In bumping your post, I am sure many others will see it and will come and share their own experiences of chemotherapy. It is normal to feel anxious about it but hopefully you will feel less nervous once your treatment has started. We'll be thinking of you! Let us know how it goes.
Don't hesitate to ring our nurses if you have any questions on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Best wishes,

Hi just to wish you good luck for you chemo . I know how scared you must be . I have just had my 4th cycle , its hard to explain but there will be days you feel dreadful and there will be days you feel fantastic .keep a diary of how you feel every day for your first cycle and this will be repeated in the next one . Knowing that you will feel bad that day but you will be fine 4 days on will help you plan and enjoy your life better. Drink loads water , eat nuts to combat constipation, rest whenever you need to and keep things clean and germ free to avoid infections on the middle weeks .
I have had my midway scan and the results show that the tumours have shrunk to half the size , its been bad but now I think I will be ok and looking to having a future . Hope you find something in my ramblings that will help .oh and visit the dentist as soon as pos the chemo can hurt yout tooth enamel .
Keep positive x
