Nothing about cancer seems to be routine.  I also think that it depends on which hospital how you are progressed.

The fact that you have been fast tracked is in one sense a good thing because if there is anything then the sooner they find it the better.

I know this is easier said than done but try not to worry keep yourself occupied and when questions pop into your head write them down so you can ask when you see the consultant.  If you can take someone with you are 4 ears are better than 2.
