Eye Cancer - first check up this morning.

Hi everyone,

As some of you know I had my op to remove the tumour on Sept 9th at the wonderful Liverpool Ocular Oncology dept.

Today I went to my local hospital at Shrewsbury, to have a follow up re: bleeds, retina problems etc. All went as well as it could have gone so far, no bleeding in the eye, and the retina is still fine.

Phew ... I didn't sleep too well last night as panic started to set in a bit, but I'm now feeling alot better. Off to Liverpool on 16th October for them to have a look, but so far so good.

Still very blurry in that eye but I can make out shapes and recognise big things.

Hugs and thanks to you all for your brilliant support.

  • Hi Jo, lovely to see you again, I've been off the radar too for a while, couldn't log on at one point and then computer went into meltdown! I agree - what a lovely supportive lady Kathy is going through so much and still thinking of others. A true angel.

    Look after yourself Jo,

    Carolyn xx

Ooops, sorry posted twice by accident!!!! Fingers too impatient!!

  • Thank you Jo and Carolyn Had my 4 and a bit hours, really should get to bed earlier.....where's my coffee....... Kathy xx
  • Hi Carolyń, how are you going? Kathy
  • Kathy, how lovely of you to ask after me. I am doing really well, thank you. My vision is almost back to normal, my eye is looking more or less normal to anyone who doesn't know me. I am back to Liverpool on 12th Feb, they may take my stitches out then, I'm not sure. They are still in there as opposed to the ones that disolve, I can see them.

I have not been able to log on for a while, internet problems and also constantly having to change my password as it wouldn't accept it. I got a bit fed up of not being able to check out how everyone's doing. For some reason today, it's allowed me staight on without logging in, so I'm going to check in on all the posts.

    Take care and speak soon,
    Carolyn x
