treatments and choice

I would like to know of positive outcomes from ladies refusing the recommended treatment(s) whether that be surgery, chemo, radiation or other. I have come across many forums where people seem to be of the opinion that we should all do as we are told and that the Oncologist knows best for us and we just go along with this.I do not want a big debate over this, just want to know of those that maybe had node involvemement but were set on not having chemo or radiotherapy was suggested and they declined. Also, how are you all doing now

  • Hello Champagnemoet

I've had a look through the forum, but I can't see that we have any other active members at the moment who have chosen not to accept the recommended treatment following a diagnosis of breast cancer. We do occasionally get ladies who post about their concerns regarding hormone treatment (eg, tamoxifen, anastrazole, letrozole) and who choose not to take or continue with that option.

The choice to accept or decline a treatment that is offered is a very personal decision, and each individual will have their own reasons for the choices they make. Whatever choice you have made, Champagnemoet, I hope that you've been supported by those around.

Hopefully, there will be someone who can share their story with you soon. Do keep in touch.

    Best wishes,
