Breast cancer - Starting chemo soon - stressing!

Hi I’m new here and have just been diagnosed with lobular breast cancer.

Up to my appointment today I was told if my CT scan was clear and it hasn’t spread, I would have surgery in a week or two. Had my appointment today and found out the CT was clear (yay, so relieved!) but the plans changed to chemo then surgery in late summer.

im now stressing about chemo. Does anyone have any advice / suggestions on what I can do to prepare please?  Thinking I may get eyebrow microblading but would be great to hear from anyone who been through it please.

thank you x

  • Hi Coz99 I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  I have lobular breast cancer.  I had my op first and then chemo.  If you don't do cold cap you will lose your eyebrows so if you want microblading best do it now because you won't be able to have it done when you are having chemo due to infection risk.  I didn't cold cap as it adds on about two and a half hours to treatment time.  I started to lose my hair exactly two weeks after the first chemo.  I had a wig for when I went out and just used soft caps at home.  Do you know when chemo is starting?  Good luck and happy to chat.
