Diagnosed with dcis , grade 3,smx soon and biopsy on lymph nodes, anyone else been through this, scared as to what to expect pain wise and worried about microinvasion
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and your subsequent concerns. The biopsy on your lymph nodes will determine whether or not there is any microinvasion. You will receive an injection to numb the area first and you will wonder what you were worried about after it's all over. The area where the lymph nodes are removed from can remain slightly tender for a short time, but this is perfectly bearable. Do you have a date for the biopsy yet?

Biopsy and single mastectomy are both on 6th jan, this was all picked up on a routine mammogram screening so its all been a shock, i keep been told dcis is nothing to worry about but I've read differently online
