May I say if any one has moles that do not look right please get them seen ASAP personally I ignored my partner and friends who told me 2 years plus ago they did not like look of my mole on my left forearm . Also I have been a avid and vain sunbather and look where it has got me ,I'm 61 years now and annoyed with myself

Good luck Topmixe. I hope the biopsy comes back clean. I’ve got a basal cell carcinoma diagnosis so far (on my eyelid) … hopefully that will be confirmed on biopsy rather than it being a trickier type. I can identify with you feeling annoyed with yourself, I went to the GP with my cancer in Feb 2024, he misdiagnosed it as ‘dry skin’. I actually didn’t feel right about that and should have gone back this February when the spot flared up again but I didn’t want to disrupt my holiday insurance policy for Easter holiday. So didn’t return til August. How stupid is that?
So don’t be too hard on yourself. We can both warn others now - as the saying goes ‘if you can’t be a good example be a horrible warning’
Hi Topmixe, don’t be too hard on yourself, a lot of us, myself included, have failed to act on health concerns as soon as we could or should have. It's only human to mentally deny threatening possibilities. All we can do is learn from it and encourage others to act rapidly.
