Diagnosed with lung cancer at 50 y/o. Has anyone else been diagnosed at this age? Will be having an op to remove right lower lobe.

Hi everyone I have recently been diagnosed with stage 1b lung cancer I am only 50 so I have been told is very young I am having an op to remove my right lower lobe. It just doesn’t feel real. Is there anyone else of this age ??

Hello yes I was diagnosed with stage 3a lung cancer back in February and I am also 50 but deemed far to unfit unfortunately it is in my right upper lobe..it was a shock though I kind of suspected I was ill and kept putting doc off..silly silly girl I am

Hi Deborah so is it chemotherapy you are having ? It is a shock very much so. I can’t even talk to my wife about it or my parents I am talking to a friend which helps me to try and process it.
