Metastatic breast cancer to all bones

I have just been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to all bones and will be starting treatment with Denosunab, Fulvestrant and Ribociclib.

Does anyone take these drugs and I wondered what the side effects will be and when they will start.

  • Hi Shariq

I am receiving Denosumab 6 weekly by injection to help protect against bone fractures I have metastatic cancer in my bones. I am tolerating it really well with no added side effects to the ones I get from cemiplimab immunotherapy. Which are a skin rash and fatigue. I also take Adcal a calcium supplement with vitamin D. I cant comment on the other drugs. I hope your treatment goes well.

  • Hi Ed,

Thank you for your reply, I also take Adcal, I will be starting these 3 drugs at the same time. Denosumab and Fulvestrant injection every 4 weeks, and Ribociclib tablets 600 mg.

i am hoping to take a few days holiday while I can but thought if it will make me feel too ill it will not be worth it.does anyone have all 3 drugs at the same time?

  • Hi Shariq-hip.  I take the Ribociclib, denosumab every four weeks and exemastane.   On my sixth cycle now and so far so good.  I would definitely take the holiday you need a bit of a break.  I am hoping to go to Portugal in September.  Are you on the Macmillan forum very similar post on there?

    Good luck
