  • Hi P-Ash, and welcome to the forum, though I'm sorry you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, its great news its been caught so early, your stats are very good, and active surveillance would seem a very good option, you would be monitored regularly so any changes would be spotted quickly. It's possible your stats have been stable for years already. But I'm not privvy to all your statistics, so the choice is yours, but you do have plenty of time to learn about your options, but please don't use Dr Google, used trusted sites like this one, Macmillan, PCUK, and NHS, the Finesse trial is well worth thinking about, I don't know much about Finasteride, as a cancer treatment, but there's a lot of research and investment in trials so they will have high hopes it will benefit patients, zI think this one is a blind trial where 50% will take the drug and not the others, but everyone will be very closely monitored. Take all the time you need, there's no rush my friend, do your research and when, or indeed if you need treatment, you can choose the right one for you
