Newly diagnosed with colon cancer

.Good morning.  On Thursday I was told I have colon cancer. I go for a CT scan with dye of stomach, pelvis and lungs to check the cancer hasn’t spread also to find out what grade the cancer is.  I am so scared of the outcome of the scan, I tell my husband we take one day at a time and frying to be strong for him but inside I’m in bits. I just don’t know how I’m suppose to be feeling I know that sounds silly but my brain feels numb thank you for letting me vent x

  • Hi Rose,

Had my colonoscopy this morning.  Bad news.  I have only just got home and already had the hospital on the to book my CT scan for 5 days time, which I thought was pretty efficient.  I don't know if it's just a case of it hasn't sunk in yet, but at the moment I don't really feel to bothered.  I hadn't told anyone that I had a potential problem.  That is the only thing that is bothering me.  It's currently foremost in my mind that at some stage I will have to tell friends and family. Stay strong Rose x
