  • I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in October, and we had a big holiday booked for February/March (to NZ & Australia). Initially, we hesitated about cancelling, but in November, we decided to cancel. I was gutted about missing the holiday, but once it was cancelled, I was actually relieved - I suppose it was one less thing to stress about? Anyway, we are still hoping to take the same holiday at some point, but at a time when we can look forward to it and enjoy it. Realistically, there is no way that I would want to be going on a big trip at the end of this month, so in my case, we did the right thing. But obviously, everyone’s cancer journey is different.
Very best wishes for his treatment.
