Post biopsy pain/ discomfort

Hi everyone!
I had an anal biopsy under general anaesthetic 5 days ago and am still feeling very uncomfortable. I had no symptoms but irregular cells were found in a routine colonoscopy. As the results were inconclusive it was decided to have a more thorough biopsy. It’s an anxious time now awaiting results . Has anyone out there had similar discomfort after a biopsy and if so how long did it take to get back to normal?

I had an anal biopsy early July although mine was done under local. The initial discomfort lasted for about 2 weeks but even now its uncomfortable (although not as bad) if I sit wrong, washing etc and occasionally for no reason I can put my finger on. Reach out to your team at hospital I have only just spoken to mine about it and they are going to sort me something for my appointment on Monday. Don't suffer. X
