I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with pain and can’t sleep.

Have you managed to get any help from your GP?

I have a hard lump of scar tissue after two operations for DCIS. Sometimes I haven’t been able to get comfortable at night. I have had help from the cancer care nurses at the hospital and therapists at the Well Being centre.

If I was so uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep at night, I would find it hard to wait until the 25th September.

Thank you for your reply. At present it is difficult to get a doctor’s appointment. Hopefully I will get some reassurance from the hospital as to what is going on.

Hi. I saw my lovely surgeon yesterday. She wasn’t sure what was going on. So I am booked in to have a scan. She has also given me some antibiotics in case I have an infection.

It’s good to hear that you saw your surgeon yesterday. She does sound lovely. I hope the antibiotics help. Do you have to wait long for your scan?

I have just received my appointment. It’s the 9th October, followed up with the surgeon straight after. So hopefully I will have a better understanding of what is going on inside the breast.

Fingers crossed for the 9th of October…. it’s good that you’ve got an appointment through and the surgeon can follow up straight away… 

I’m also hoping you’ll be able to sleep better
