My mum in law had triple negative 10 years ago, she's fine now :)

Thank you.  What treatment did she have and does she take any preventative drugs 

They offered her a lumpectomy but we pushed for a mastectomy which they agreed to do and she had chemo.

She wore the cold cap so although her hair thinned, she didn't lose it all.

She chose no reconstruction but wears a sock type thing in her bra instead. X

I was diagnosed with triple negative last September.  I had chemo and immunotherapy combined, followed by a lumpectomy.  I'm about to start radiotherapy, but all pre-surgical scans and ultrasounds showed the cancer had gone!  I'm now on preventative treatment with a further 5 sessions of immunotherapy and biphosphate tablets I've yet to start.  I didn't do cold cap so I did lose all my hair, but it's growing back now with a vengeance (I finished chemo in March this year).  I'm 60 years old.
