I'm sorry to hear the news about your Nan's health. It's understandably a difficult time for you all and natural that you will have been struggling with what to say to your Nan and to your Mum. 

Sometimes even though we may "put on a brave face" around our loved ones they can still read the hurt and emotions behind that mask. Be honest with your Mum about how you're feeling and hopefully, the two of you will be able to support each other through this difficult time and in turn that support for each other will enable you both to give your Nan all the love and support that she needs at this time. 

If you think it may help to talk with someone outside of the family, you're welcome to call our team of nurses for some advice and support. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any information they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
