Hey, sorry I haven't updated you. So had my surgery Tuesday and all is well, robotic and laporoscopy, so no massive open wound on my stomach. Am home recovering, surgeon said they got it all. Now I'm waiting for my follow up to see what's next.
Good that it wasn’t invasive surgery as you will heal more quickly on the outside at least. Hopefully good results when you next see your consultant. Glad all seems to have gone well.
I have seen the oncologist this morning and received unbelievable news. The CT shows absolutely no signs of cancer! The oncologist said he has never seen this before! I asked him if he had the correct notes in front of him, and he scrolled up the screen and confirmed it was me! I will now be monitored by 3-monthly blood tests. We just can’t believe it! My CA125 blood cancer marker has gone up from 18 to 27 but he says normal is around 35.
I don’t know what this means for another recurrence. It is a wonderful Christmas present.
