prostate treatment options

As a relatively fit 60 year old, aside from current active surveillance I've been offered the choice of radiotherapy or nerve sparing surgery and I' want to base my decision on whichever  treatment is leat likely to avoid permanent erectile disfunction,

    Hi parso64 and welcome, I went down the radiotherapy RT route, aggressive RT 73gy which is about 50% more than standard and apart from a loss of libido for 3 months had no issues with ED. though penis and testicle are not so big, sorry i have no personal experience of surgery.

    Hi Parson,

    I understand how you feel, i recently diagnosed with Prostate Ca gleason 3+4=7 Im 58 yrs old..we’re in the same boat Parson Im currently offered Active Surveillance which the Urologist told me radation therapy is not prefferably for my age. Im sure there’s a lot of options for your treatment because of your low risk. Any treatment for sure theres always side effect but not permanent.
