New (ish) diagnosis bowel cancer

I was diagnosed on 25th Feb after a colonoscopy for what my gp believed to be IBD.

I've been busy having scans and meetings with various doctors now all of a sudden things have ground to a halt and I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for surgery .

I have remained so positive , motivated and confident so far but the more the days tick by I feel like I am just left in limbo to wait and frankly I feel a little alone .

  • Hello Nic74,

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It can be feel like a lonely and anxious time while you wait for your appointment with the surgeon so it's natural to feel the way you are. Please know that you're not alone and there is support out there. The forum is always here for and I hope other members can share their experience with you. You can also find information on treatment for bowel cancer, including surgery, on our website.
