Tongue cancer

Can anybody tell me what happens after surgery and treatment . Part of tongue surgically removed plus lymph nodes , then Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy. 

Surgery was done at one Hospital then the Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy at another then after that I’ll be cared for at my own doctors . 

You get told so many things then when you get home its all gone on what you get told . Anybody out there been through the same thing . 

Don't want to keep bothering them by phoning up .

    Hi, just wondering how your surgery etc went? We’ve just found out my dad will need an 8 hour operation to remove part of his tongue and lymph nodes and I feel physically sick about him being under for 8 hours and having so much done to him. He’ll need to be in intensive care for a few weeks with feeding tubes and a neck stoma, I don’t know if I can see him like that :( plus I’m so scared of what the future will look like. Doesn’t feel real life.
