How do you tell family about this diagnosis without worrying them about what could mean for them but also keep them informed?

Hi Kirsty
Sorry for jumping on your post, I’m also in Scotland, is things moving quickly for you ? I expected my treatment plan last Thursday however something else has shown up so CT scan yesterday, I’d just got my head around knowing the treatment plan Thursday but now a delay until CT and another biopsy results are in. I’ve been told nothing is likely to start before March, beside myself waiting ! X
Dianedoc1 I am sorry to hear about your setbacks that must be difficult to deal with. A similar situation happened to a friend of mine, she was all ready for her treatment when they found something unexpected on the scan.I took a bit of time to re program and wait for the new surgery date.
Take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, you will get there perhaps a bit later than you hoped but in time this will be behind you.
I hope everything gets back on track for you.x

Thank you !! It just helps I think to ask/write and know you’re not alone.
Hope your friends unexpected something turned out to be a nothing and able to treat the primary source.
Good luck with your treatment xx
