Once you have been diagnosed, do you ask what the survival rate would be or is it best not to ask?

Mary
they can’t tell you this as only the biopsy results will 100 percent for sure no if it’s a diagnosis got everything crossed for you xx
Thank you. The biopsy is this Friday. Unfortunately the doctor had an accent that made it very difficult to understand him. The other, easier to understand doctor said something like "we have to be careful with words, it does look suspicious".
Sorry Mary if I misinterpreted something said previously. Not intended to upset anyone. I said what the surgeon said to me. He also said after surgery I was cancer free. Its all down to interpretation.
Mary
Do you img me asking what type of csncer you are having tests to rule out ?
I hole it’s good news Friday for sure ?
Thank you. I haven't been told which would be ruled out. It is an ultrasound guided biopsy, somewhere near the kidney, I think. I have already had a colonoscopy which was clear, and FIT which was clear, and some blood tests which were clear including an ovarian cancer test. The swelling is to the left of the tummy button and quite a large mass it is called. I don't know how long I will have to wait for the results of the biopsy.
Oh Mary bless you it’s a worry but this could really turn out ok for you xxx I hope so xx
Thank you. I have just remembered a couple of words that the doctor (whose accent was difficult to understand) wrote on his letter - "Sarcoma? cancer".
Right I see , I surely hope you hear soon it’s terrible being in limbo it’s like you are on stop bless you xx
How are you today Mary ? Xx
