Advanced her2 positive breast cancer

I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in October I've had 6 months of chemotherapy and will continue on phesgo injections I'm looking for ladies who are on same treatment and doing well. My heads all over the place and need hope

  • These doctors are amazing and will take good care of you. I struggle so much because of my small children but try and be strong at the same time. Can I ask what type your cancer is mines her2 positive. Xx

  • Hi, I bet you do struggle it's scary when you think what you could miss etc. my children are 25,18 and my daughter is 14. I don't have the same cancer as you mine is the oestrogen receptive one, secondary and in lymph nodes.  I'm rubbish at remembering the names. I think yours is more curable than mine... but I'm not sure. Xxx

  • Your very early on like me and it's so hard because you think cancer is a death sentence and my oncologist told me ladies have been seeing her over 10 yrs so please hold on to that. Grab lives with both hands and run love because it's so precious. Always here if you need a chat xxxx

  • Are you having chemotherapy? I've just finished 6 months of chemo and I have a targeted therapy called phesgo xxx

  • Thank you and same to you. I'm here whenever you need a chat too. Xxxx

  • I am on letrozole which is a hormone blocker and ribociclib which is I think chemo in a tablet, not as strong (I don't think) as introvenus chemo. Works differently ‍♀️. I take tablets everyday for 3 weeks one week off then start again. Have ecgs every two weeks and bloods. I'll stay on this until it doesn't stop it from  growing or I can't tolerate the tablets. Then they do something else, which could be full chemo, radio etc. x

big hugs to you both love Lara ️

  • Hiya

I was also diagnosed with secondary bc in Oct. Also just finished chemo and will be on phesgo too. Also Tamoxifen tablets. I'm 44 and have a little girl.

Mine had spread to my spine and caused damage that needed surgery. The *** for me atm is the chemo really interferes with the recovery from surgery so I'm quite out of action atm.

I feel really confident in the longevity of the treatment and us.  But I am struggling with the recovery from my back, mentally that's quite challenging.

When was your last chemo and how are you feeling? Mine was just over a week ago and I found this one really harsh.

    Lots of love xxxx

  • I had my last chemo on the 31st of March doxitaxol or something like that. I didn't find the chemo to bad at all. Have you had half way scan? I did and treatment was working. Due another scan next week so really nervous. Mine also on spine but was told it's only tiny. I still can't come to terms with it and my depression is terrible. Love to hear positive stories. I've got 7 children youngest only 5. Lots of love to you too. Keep in touch xxx
