Joined this forum/chat to help me come to terms with some bad news I received on 18th January 2023 after undergoing numerous scans, ultrasound, MRI & CT scan with dye. I have been told by urologist consultant that I have a bosniak type 4 cyst on right kidney. Has anyone on here had the same thing? If so what happened? I have been told that I will need surgery to completely remove the right kidney. Just wandering what my outlook on the future is going to be like.
They are sending me for emergency ct scan next week on lungs to see if it has spread. But consultant has already said that a full nephrectomy is going to be needed in my case to remove the right kidney.
I'm terrified and sick with in case it's spread!!!!! Also the unknown as to survival rate. I couldn't help blurt it out to the consultant when he told me. I asked out right am I going to die? He said no straight away (I breathed a sigh of relief) but then he continued on the path off ct scan on lungs and discussing further after results from that.
I've read different things and getting into a tight Tiz!!!! So worried you wouldn't believe.
Any advice or experience would be appreciated right now. X
