Hi, new to forum

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I am a pharmacist working on the south coast, currently undergoing radiotherapy for 

advanced prostate  cancer, I live alone, but have a sister who lives nearby. At the moment feeling a little overwhelmed,  just need a  few hellos back and a bit of support.

  • Hi guess your name is Tony and your very brave, i live Lincolnshire few miles from Lincoln. 

    I was diagnosed feb 2016 uncurable two years later palative care, my paa was 1581 stage 4  T3b N1 M1b, gleason 8, my prostate cancer went to lymph node's pelvis spine ribs and a lung. 

    I started on hormone therapy tablets and injections then chemotherapy to shrink my uninvited guest quicker still get bitten now and again and treatment changes, I've just had radiotherapy and in few weeks chemotherapy again im managing ok and a carer for my wife she has alzimers and parkinsons plus other problems, we manage ok through just odd problems. 

    If i can help please ask remember im a cancer patient not medically trained.

  • Hi Billy, thanks for replying, sorry to hear your situation, - I guess you've been through everything that I'm going through, it has helped , in that your original  diagnosis was 2016,   keep in touch, as you're further down the line than I am, if you have those "down" moments as I do, drop me a post, as I find discussion helps, and as I've found keeping busy and positive attitude helps
