I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and that the MRI you've had has flagged another area that needs further investigation. The uncertainty of what this may be may understandably be causing you concern. 

Has the team said how long you will have to wait for the additional tests and scans? Hopefully it won't be too long before they have a clearer picture of what the situation is and they can discuss the best way forwards with treatment. 

In the meantime, I'd suggest giving our team of nurses a call and chatting things through with them. It often helps to talk to someone and I know they will be happy to offer any information and advice that they can as well as help you think about questions you might want to ask at your next appointment. Thank you so much for your reply.

Yes difficult times.  However I have now had my blood tests and my CT scan has been moved forward to this afternoon.  My bone scan should be pretty soon too.  

Its the not knowing which is awful, the emotional rollercoaster!  Anyway I should get answers soon to get on with getting this awful enemy of hours sorted.

A few folk get coincidental findings pop up on their scans. They spotted something behind my wife's breastbone/sternum (she was grade 3 BC), and we worried too. It turned out to just be some sort of anomaly unrelated to the cancer.  But they did have to check just to make sure. No idea what it was because nothing has ever been mentioned about it since.

Hiyah - thank you so much.  That does stop me thinking every pain I feel is something to do with it and driving me nuts!  Fingers crossed.

So sorry that you and your wife have gone through this nightmare too - I wish I could wave a magic wand so noone ever has to go through this ever again!
