  • Hi jones 123

im 6 years down the line it's all very scary

the waiting for results is awful

I had a full mastectomy it was very early sentinel

    lymph node was clear

I had a lot of dcis so hence the opp

but that was all no other treatments

I had bone infusions for 3 years

I have just had non related skin cancer

    I'm recovering from that op

take the days as they come this site is great for advise

    take care keep off google

    love and hugs

    Jb

  • Hi Joan

brilliant 6 years wow sorry your back hete hope you doing ok , sorry to but in , did you have one sentil node positive ?
I had a trace in one sentil node but all lymph nodes were clear thankfully , just awaiting oncotyoe score for if I deffo need chemo had 2 operations xx

  • Hi Jones123

Sental node was clear they took a couple more

    which were clear

so again I was "lucky "

    didn't feel lucky

I had reconstruction and an implant straight away

I have to say I never felt I'll at all

I can wear a bikini low cut tops

it's not a boob but I don't think about it every day anymore

did the exercises full movement in my are no arm swelling

this skin cancer is much more difficult it on my shin it's been 7 weeks and still not healing very well

    had a skin graft

it's all clear but I have pain I went private as the waiting list even to be seen was many months

you have to take it as it comes

    JB

    x x

  • Joan

that's so amazing though deffo lucky in the unlucky scheme of things , I had a teeny trace in one sentil node oncologist not recommended chemo I have myself chased the Oncotype test to be sure . Second opinion.

Yes my ops webt smooth ain't felt bard at all fair play it was a  breeze , just the shock for me but feel great now it's all gone x I feel so lucky like you it's early stages nine I was stage 1 grade 2 x

aww are you in pain at all can you take strong pain relief bless you ? How you find that on your leg I never knew you could get skin cancer on legs xx

  • Hi

that was the same stage and class as mine

but I'm probably older than you

the annual mammogram always freaked me out

    but I'm signed off now

don't let them tell you you have to wait 2 weeks for mammogram I always rang the clinic after 5 days

skin cancer was a spot that wouldn't heal

had it for a while it was squamous cell

not great but it was 1mm deep but the surgeon took

8 mm to be sure of good margin so no treatment needed

So now have a ice cream type scoop in my shin

it is filling out now but the pain is weird

wakes my up at 3am I'm ok now back driving and walking

trying to get my stamina back been immobile for about a month which isn't good at my age

people say oh you are so strong

but I'm not it's a case of get on with it or go under

    love and hugs

    Joan x x
