I’m 66 years old retired diagnosed 3 years ago with stage 1 ductal invasive breast cancer and dcis lymph nodes were clear
Full mastectomy and reconstruction in 2016
I had 6 monthly bone strengthening infusions no radiation or chemo
I know I’m lucky but it doesn’t always feel that way
I have a long term partner and 2 grown up sons and 4 grandchildren
I think I’m doing ok
I’m active I enjoy walking and try to get out as much as I can
I think I’m mentally strong which gets tested regularly with this disease
