My dad has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer . His breathing is 46% FEV. He has stents in his heart, copd, depression and anxiety . He had tb of the bowel that he survived and survived pneumonia a few years ago.
The nurses said he can't have a camera biopsy in case a lung collapses. It's in both lungs but worse in the left . They said he cant have chemo or high radiotherapy as it might make him worse . They said it could be chemo tablets or light radiotherapy depending on what type of cancer it is and they will only know from blood works.
They ordered a blood biopsy from America and we are still awaiting results. First they said it would be a 2 week wait, then 3 weeks and now they are saying it will be longer as the doctors are all on holiday . It seems a big negligent and cruel to make him wait that long . It sounds like they are leaving him to die or don't care if another one hits the dust.
We are very hurt . He complained of wheezing last year and nothing was done. Apparently its been growing for a year . I feel angry and hurt . I'm wondering if they may be wrong . They are implying there's no hope but could they be wrong? Has anyone ever been wrong about this sort of thing ? If it is cancer how much pain will he be in ? Are there alternatives to chemo? Does CBD oil work ?
