  • Hello,

I, personally, can't help you but it sounds like one for [@Yorkshire_defector1]‍  who can help with the information you need from her point of view, three years down the line. If I were in your position I would really want to hear from her.
Do you hear, Sam, or should I repeat, Yorkshire_defector1, so you get the email, this is one for you!

Good luck, it will be a slog but it's bearable, and three years down the line someone might be calling for you to help someone else newly diagnosed!

Should you not hear from her, if you check out my thread, "Hello from a new member of the family" you can read her journey from the start to the present day.

  • Thnx for replying christine,I'm new to this and not sure how to check your thread as I'm not computer savvy.

  • Hi,

It took me a while to suss things out. The way I would do it is to click/tap on my avatar (the photo of my dog) or the name next to it and it will take you to my page! There you will see a little bio of me and below a box with two heading tabs, and under discussions there should be four lines of text, these being threads that I have started. The top one, called "Hello from a new member of the family" is the one where three of us have kept up a conversation about our cancer journey. It's quite funny in places because Sam, the Yorkshire defector, is hilarious and she is the one who has had the experience of TNBC.

Enjoy reading the thread. I had Covid recently and while I was laid up I reread the whole three years of messages and thought it should be prescribed for newly diagnosed people, so they could see that getting the big C wasn't the end of the world!
