Diagnosed with breast cancer and having a lot of emotions

Hello, a month ago was diagnosed with breast cancer, two weeks back I had breast cancer surgery mastectomy on my right breast. At first I had no feelings at all, it was like I was numb to pain. Then I was really really angry with life now I'm making peace with it all cause at the end of the day I wanna live for as long as I can

  • Hi BSS and welcome to the Cancer Chat forum.

As you'll see on our website, experiencing a range of feelings after a cancer diagnosis is completely understandable, and natural, but I'm glad to see you're finding a way to work through these emotions and are coming to terms with your diagnosis.

I'm sure some of our members who have been on this journey will be along soon to offer you their support and advice but if there is anything you would like to discuss or ask our cancer nurses, you can get in touch with them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
