Waiting for breast surgery

I had biopsies taken from my breast in February 2022 and was told that I have DCIS and grade 2 invasive carcinoma. I  was started on  Letrozole,  but I still do not have a date for surgery.  I  am very worried that the cancer will progress while I'm waiting. My husband died of lymphoma last year after having his treatment delayed.

    Hi Rushdene, I am so sorry to hear your worries. You must have a breast care team where you live and the breast care nurses should be able to reassure you or inquire on your behalf. I hope you were allocated a breast care nurse, but any of the nurses will speak to you, I am sure. Letrozole is used to halt spreading, I understand. I am a breast cancer patient myself. I hope this helps!
