Breast lumpectomy comfort advice

I've had my dressing removed today but finding it too uncomfortable to wear a bra still. Also itching like crazy around scar and nipple is super sensitive. I have loads of extra bruising due to a haematoma which had to be surgically evacuated a week after the lumpectomy.

Im after advice to ease the soreness and tenderness. What I can put on it, what to wear. I currently have a cotton wool pad placed over the nipple to stop rubbing and chafing. I think a bra would give more comfort to the breast but I can't tolerate even my soft bras due to the bruising and swelling which is still an issue

Thank you

Sorry to hear you're in so much discomfort after the lumpectomy. I was in the same position as you - I had my op nearly three weeks ago. My scar starts under my armpit and extends to the nipple as I had two areas that needed to be removed. As a result, I couldn't tolerate any bra with a seam under the arm - which is 99.9% of them! I eventually found one sports bra M&S and I also spoke to the ladies at Nicolajane.com and bought the bra they recommended. Both have made such a difference - here's the link to the sports bra www.marksandspencer.com/.../clp60212296

I hope one of them works for you too and that you feel more comfortable soon.
