Or no love what stage did u have a chest X-ray
I had a ct scan just before Christmas it confirmed lung cancer but I have not seen a specialist so do not no what stage the cancer is at, very confused shocked etc at the moment. Thank you for replying, I assume you are also dealing with a similar diagnosis, if you are how are you coping?
My husband has lymphoma. Cancer. So u did not have a chest X-ray
All I had so far is a CT scan on upper body, that is when I was told I had cancer of the lung that was on 22 dec, I've not been told anything else or had any other tests so far. Sorry to hear about you husband, you must be a tower of strength for him. What a lovely person you must be to take time to respond to me, I am so grateful. If I can be a support to you at all please give me a nudge.

Good luck with your next stage. At this time all I know is I have lung cancer I will be seeing the specialist tomorrow and hopefully I will be told more.

Hi, I've also been recently diagnosed with a carcinoid lung tumour. I've had a bronchoscopy and going for a pet scan tomorrow. I've had lung/heart function tests and bloods done. I've been told that if it hasn't spread I will have surgery to remove the tumour. The wait to find out if it has spread is very difficult and I am very anxious. I've avoided reading a lot of info as I find it increases my anxiety. I have spoke with the lung nurses who have been very helpful and when I feel up to it, I plan to go to my local maggies centre for support but to be honest I'm still reeling from the diagnosis. I hope you are ok. Sending love. X

Hi I found out today that I shall be meeting with the surgeon in Monday next week to discuss the procedure most likely video assisted which is less invasive. The carcinoid is contained in my lung so all being well will be a curative outcome I hope you get the same kind of news from your scan I wish you well
That's good news. Hope all goes well and thank you for your best wishes.
I am so pleased for you. Stay strong and stay in touch
Hope everyone is ok today. Hopefully I get to see the specialist tomorrow and I know more about my diagnosis. I will update when I have more information in the mean time take care all xx
I've seen the consultant today the cancer is not operable so it will be treated with chemotherapy and immunotherapy to contain the cancer. Not the news I wanted but I have a chance to contain the cancer and live as long as possible. Hope everyone is doing ok today
Today my head is all over the place I can't be positive or negative I don't know what I feel, any advice please
Update I have seen the oncologist and they have said the lung cancer is inoperable I am to be treated with chemotherapy and immunotherapy which should commence next Friday if all goes according to plan. I feel very scared but I a, hoping the treatment works
Had a bad day today feeling very depressed,
Hi Donna. I'm so very sorry your cancer is inoperable but it is amazing what they can do now to treat cancer. Immunotherapy is a fantastic development and I hope the combination of treatments gives you what you need.
I've been told mine is operable, but the tumour is in a very difficult place which means I will likely lose my whole lung and have to have open chest surgery. I'm meeting the surgeon tomorrow to discuss options. I'm relieved that they feel it's operable but still anxious. It's been a rollercoaster time for sure. I'm sorry things have been difficult for you and delighted to hear you have furbabys to brighten your day. I would never have gotten through this past month without my dog. She's been a godsend ️
please let me know how you are doing. X
Hi lisaire thank you for your response I am please your tumour is operable good luck with it all and please keep in touch. I am sure I will get over my down day tomorrow and things will be better for me in the morning. Have a good evening hugs xx
my furbabies are brilliant and usually they cheer me up but not today I think they have picked up on my mood. Xx
