The hospital may give you a pad, but it'll be whatever they've got on hand.  When I'd recovered continence after my RRP (which was in Xmas 2010) I still had a collection of unused pads which I donated to the urology dept of my local hospital, who'd held my hand through my prostate cancer adventure.

Personally, I suggest an Always Ultra pad for the biopsy!  I know they're aimed for people with completely different equipment (!) but they're thin and should catch any blood leakage from your bum without wetting your undies and trousers.  These were what I used 10 years ago in the final stages of getting continent and they're great.  You can pick up a pack at any supermarket for a few pounds. 

I'm afraid that you have to buy your own pads if you have an RP, but they will be VAT free.  The usual standby is Tena For Men which you can buy on the internet.  There are a number of on-line stores and most will send you free samples, so don't hesitate to shop around and ask for samples. Try different pads till you find what is most comfortable for you.  I was pretty much continent after 6 months, which is par for the course.

But of course, we're getting ahead of ourselves.  Your biopsy may be something completely benign and harmless. But if not, then there are some old hands here who can guide you through whatever comes next.
