Hi Everyone thanks for reading. Male, 29YO
in a previous post of mine I had detailed how a small tumour in my mouth had led my specialist to inform me that I had got high grade Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a real shock to the system but the plot thickens...
turns out I have Burkitt Lymphoma - a rare breed that isn't too common.... however fortunately common enough for my specialists to seem to know exactly how to treat it and be confident in going for the cure
Can't fault my team at the hospital, They have booked me in for an intensive inpatient Chemo regime in hospital, and due to the wait time over the Christmas period, I was rushed in to them today for the first RCHOP round.. just to get things moving
I have to say the RChop treatment I had was event free and I left feeling much the same as arrival (a little more tired - 5 hours is a long time) I'm told a symptom and stress-free first round is just as expected as the opposite - so please don't worry if you suffer any of the effects - can be dealt with very quickly!
Onto the next therapy. One step at a time - I'm taking this first step today as a small win. A giant step on the ladder for me kicking NHL butt!
