Hi ref lung biopsy. I was first diagnosed in 2013 . Top lobe of left lung along with Thymus gland taken away.back to full time work 10 weeks later. ( Adenocarcinoma) In 2016 diagnosed with cancer in left lung!! Surgeon took bottom half of left lung ( non small cell Squamous carcinoma)) attempted to return to work after 12 weeks but my shortness of breath caused me m to enter retirement! ! (Aged 78) in 2017 diagnosed with Prostate cancer and elected to commence hormone therapy!
Unfortunately a few months ago I was having further problems and my Oncologist sent me for a further C.T. as my annual scan in March was showing 'something' that wasn't there on previous scan! Scan carried out in June then saw Oncologist yesterday who informed me that this 'Something ' had grown by a further 2 mms which he described as "Unremarkable"!!
and booked me a further C.T. in August to ensure this "unremarkable" lump has not become "remarkable"!!!! Meanwhile he has sent me for in depth blood tests along with an E.C.G. on Monday next. The moral of my story is that since the start of my journey I have seen two more Great grandchildren born and enjoyed engaging with my 2x daughters 5x Grandchildren and now 8x Great Grandchildren and thoroughly enjoying family visiting me. The N.H.S. are great and will take care of us all with VERY FEW exceptions
