Go and see MacMillan and they will help with any money worries, there are benefits and funds to help you. You can do this, chemo isn't nice but you will get through this........
Haywae is right - talking to MacMillan might help. Cancer patients should be entitled to PIP (which is not means-tested so doesn't affect other benefits and you get it regardless of any other income or how much you have in the bank) which qualifies him for free prescriptions and a range of other things. MacMillan and the DWP have a special process which speeds up a decision being made.
It isn't a huge amount, but it is better than nothing and should be backdated to the date a claim was submitted.
