Hi I was diagnosed on the 14th March with breast cancer, after finding a lump in my left breast a week previously, wasn't the news we wanted to hear. Nightmare, surreal etc. At first my consultant said if all the tests came back that they had got all the cancer & the margins where clear & my lypme nodes where clear I would only need radiotherapy. On the 14th April I went to see my consultant about my test results, the good news was that they got all the cancer & the lymph nodes came back clear, but the bad news was the tumor was a grade3 aggressive cancer, so I would need Chemotherapy. My world just collapsed, all I could think about was my boys, the children I mind (am a registered childminder), & our holiday we had been looking forward too for my 50th birthday (Italy). But it was all about prevention, coz the oncology said if I didn't have chemo the cancer would come back coz it likes my hormones can't spell the word......
