I have Scoliosis brought on by Multiple Myeloma . It was a late diagnosis and has caused severe curvature of my spine & neck, causing pain if I've been up & around for more than half an hour, not to mention breathlessness. How do others manage pain. I use a lidocaine patch on my right shoulder blade, where I have the most discomfort, Brutrans plasters, & paracetamol. I've also been having cortisone injections in my back. I also tried T.E.N.S. But it didn't seem to help. It's so frustrating, as I can't go out on my own, apart from a 15 minute walk round the block, which leaves me exhausted. My family take me to the park at the weekend, but I need a lie down when I get home, as I do every afternoon, & I'm only 61. I was looking forward to Grandchildren in a few years, more Nature holidays, but have to suffice with friends photos, which I enjoy, & Nature & gardening programmes on the TV. (My gardening is limited to a little pruning & I did manage to plant a few tulips & mulch the beds) I'm glad it's Spring again, the promise of new life. Lots of baby birdlife to look forward to in the local parks. I'm thinking of buying some Autumn & Spring flowering crocuses as they look so beautiful in the parks.
Well enough of my waffling. We already have one waffler on here , who I enjoy following ;-)
