Hi Diane
Hopefully she will continue her recovery but will no doubt be taking it easy for a while.
It is nice to have your holidays to look forward to and always good to spend time relaxing with the family. I have a week away in June, my first as a solo traveller but needs must. Just hope for fine weather.
Have been into London today for the Tall Ships Festival and it was an amazing sight to see them cruising the Thames between Greenwich and Woolwich. Thankfully the weather remained dry though there was quite a breeze. Still able to eat outside for lunch so that was a bonus as they had live music and loads of stalls as part of the event. Arrived just after 11 and left at 4. Meal out with the family tomorrow and a possible day out planned for Monday depending on the weather.
Hope you have a lovely Easter weekend. Take care. Jules xx
Good morning Jules,
Hope you are well today. Sorry for the length of time it has taken me to reply. Its been a very busy week and time has absolutely flown by. Mrs B's warfarin levels have come down but are still a bit too high so her medication has been changed yet again. My sister came to see me for a short while on Wednesday. My niece wanted two kitchen chairs recovered and my sister didnt have a staple gun so I did it for them. I also dId an elephant engraving in oak for her but didnt get time to take a photo of it. She loves elephants just like Sue.
Then on Thursday Mrs B suddenly decided to ask me to take her for a long drive, We used a local road the A272 which has had a book written about it. We ended up not that far short of Winchester..We both really enjoyed it. Yesterday I sent off the next months newsletter to our chairman for the letter he always writes. I do this so we dont overlap on anything. Today I have got Junes newsletter done as far as possible.
Plus I have mowed both lawns and washed my car. Dont feel like Ive had time to even scratch myself ha ha. My son is now having hydrotherapy on his ankle and its seems to be helping. The nurse said he could do with doing it everyday for two weeks but they dont have spare space for him to attend. We have also lost another of our woodclub members who hasnt attended for a few years.
Glad you have been able to get out and about recently and thanks for the lovely photos. Good on you. Any news on your daughters proposed move as yet? Hope your mother is still pain free. A couple of days I wanted to gett out in my workshop but the wind was so cold, I couldnt muster up enough enthusiasum. I wish you a pleasant weekend and am sending kind thoughts your way, Brian
Hi Kathy,
Lovely to hear from you. Bet you are looking forward to this.
I'm not trying to wind you up (honestly ha ha ) but Mrs B made me some "YOU KNOW WHATS " for Easter and very tasty they were too. But sadly, they didnt last that long.
Hope you are keeping well and your weather is good.
Take care my forum friend, Brian (the nutty one)
I know u r nutty, all good here, weather gettin into autumn.
Off to scotland for mums 90th soon.
lots of cheesy bits to look forward to,

mrs B xxxx
Hi Kathy
Nice to see you posting on the forum and hope you have fun with the grandchildren (I know you will!!) whilst they spend some time at yours.
Lovely that you are making it 'home' to Scotland for your Mum's 90th( hope it has warmed up a bit by the time that happens); and hope the rest of your family are all keeping well; you too of course.
Brian would not be himself without his you know what and nuts (bet he was a squirrel in a former life ha ha).
Have a quiet weekend so will be doing lots of walking and hopefully some more work in the garden. Take care of yourself and sending virtual hugs. Jules x
Good afternoon Brian,
Was a cloudy start here this morning so took myself for a long walk to my favourite garden centre as the cafe does a great coffee! As always I also had a good look round but with frost forecast for next week did not buy any plants for outside. Instead I bought two solar lanterns and a couple of fleece jackets to replace my old ones which can now be relegated to be used in the garden.
You have certainly been kept busy this past week but it beats sitting around being bored I'm sure. Sad to lose another Wood Club member and hopefully you will increase the membership during the coming months especially when you exhibit at shows. Any news of where you will be able to meet once your current venue is closed?
A step in the right direction for my daughter and son in law as there is now a new mortgage offer agreed so the solicitors had better buck their ideas up now that all the paperwork is done. Just hoping for the best of luck for them now that there are no more hitches. They will let me know as soon as there is anything more to report.
Great to see Kathy's post and know that she is keeping ok.
Hope the MrsB's warfarin 'count' comes back to normal levels following a further adjustment to her medication. Mum thankfully has been stable for her last couple of blood tests but they are closely monitoring her general physical/mental health to keep her as comfortable as they would like (she has no interest in this but they are taking it day to day and I have tried to gently explain to her that they are just doing their job in keeping her pain free). They have her written instructions in her records from a few years ago which I was aware of at the time and it is hard just being a 'watcher'. Still I continue to keep her up to date with family news and suspect she is listening though she rarely talks now, mainly communicating with nods and shakes of the head. Mind you she still has a tongue in her head if she wants something done asap ha ha. Her birthday is next month and I am scratching my head on what to give her as most things I take in she just gives me back. Having said that I took down a small Malteser Easter bunny over the Easter weekend and she did ask me to unwrap it before I left so assume she was prepared to eat it. Will pop to see her on Tuesday all being well.
Take care of yourself and have a peaceful weekend with Mrs B. Will keep my fingers crossed that your son's treatment continues to help with his foot recovery. He definitely needs patience but it appears to be heading in the right direction. regards to all Jules
Hi everyone, I hope you have all been having the good weather (maybe the last warmish day so have been out and about as well as in the garden). Here are a couple of shots I managed in the back garden. Jules
Lovely photos Jules, and how nice to see some sunshine. Sue x
Hi Jules,
Yes we have both been enjoying the weather thank you. On Saturday Mrs B decided she wanted to go for another long drive. We went round smaller country roads this time and seen places we hadnt seen before. I was amazed at the amount of bluebells we saw. It's been a good year for wild flowers this years as the primrose's were also very good this year. Lovely to see them. Trouble is Mrs B wants to pick them and cant do it ha ha. aItso nice she wants to go out again as for some while I have been trying to persuad her. But I think the nice weather has helped. Mind you I'm not complaining as I do enjoy going for a drive.
Have a chap who used to be in our woodclub sometime ago coming to see me this morning as he wants some advice on woodturning. Will try and get him to re-join if poss. He used to live in Austrlia but has moved back as he has family over here.
Nice to hear from Kathy the other day and hope she enjoys her trip over here to see her family. Had to try and wind her up about the chees straws ha ha. Glad your daughter has got good news too
Well I had better go and get my car out of the garage and gett ready for my visiter.
Hope you have a good week Jules. Sending kind thoughts to you and your family, Brian.
