Hi Jules,
Thanks for the update. Bet you are feeling relieved now allthough they still have to stabalise her bloods. Hope they are able to do this quickly. Take care, Brian
Jules, sorry to hear about your mum, such a worry. Hope it all gets sorted out soon, sending hugs, take care.
Hazel xx
PS Your baby has two teeth, bet she looks cute! xx
Thanks Hazel. Mum being kept comfortable as possible at present. She will be 91 this year bless her.
Darcey, (a year in May) has a very cute smile now that the top two teeth match with her bottom two though the teething process has, as always, been a painful one. Will catch up with son and family over Easter as well as seeing my daughter and family again.
Hope you are enjoying the good weather in your lovely garden. Jules xx
Hi Jules, so sorry about your mum. I know times like this can be such a worry but all we can do is keep moving forward especially with your adorable little grandchild.
My Son in laws mum has been very ill with Pneumonia, me and my daughter went up to see her and she had tubes up her nose down her throat. She looked terrible oxygen and everything. I remember taking pneumonia in my early 20s just after having my 3rd child but not nearly as bad as her. So we all hope she has a quick recovery over these next few weeks.
Apart from that my life has been pretty slow which I'm liking. Not taking this quite as fast as I have. My joints are not as supple as they once were lol.
Take care - Diane x
I guess that's all we can hope for, to be kept comfortable at such a good age, but doesn't stop you worrying, I know.
Gosh, Darcey is nearly one, where does the time go?! And she has FOUR teeth, sorry about that, must have missed the announcement of the first two!
What a shame about your daughter's house plans, everything seemed to be going so well at first - disappointing to say the least. Hope it can be sorted before the cash buyer's offer is accepted.
Do take care, Hazel xx
Hi Diane, sorry to hear about your daughter's mum-in-law, poor lady, hope she recovers soon.
Glad to know you are taking things a bit more easily, but knowing you that probably means you are only going at 90mph instead of 100!
Take care, Hazel xx
Thanks for your kind words Diane. As is usual with something outside your control we are just taking things day to day and at the moment no news is classed as good news.
Sorry to hear about your son in law'sMum. Worrying times for the family but hope the antibiotics they usually give for pneumonia these days do the trick. My best friend had a bout of it last year and it took her about a month to feel better but no stopping her then!
Have been enjoying the good weather the last few days and we are, as a family, just making plans for the Easter weekend. I am going into London on Good Friday to see the Tall Ships, having lunch on the Saturday with family and currently trying to see who is up for a trip to the Cotswolds on the Monday weather permitting. Will keep me entertained and out of mischief!!
Take care, Jules x
Hi Hazel
Thanks for the reply. As Mum could not care less about her health in general it does not make for good conversation but, as you rightly say, knowing she has good care in place does take away some of the concerns as they are very quick off the mark when problems crop up.
Not sure I actually ever mentioned Darcey's first bottom teeth coming through (probably due to the fact that these was during the Christmas period!!). The time does seem to fly by at times and as I do not see her that often you certainly notice the changes. Will get a cuddle over the Easter weekend when we have family time planned.
My daughter and family's house woes have been quite the rollercoaster especially for them. At the moment the seller is prepared to see if they can get the new mortage in place as it will save her starting from scratch again (have an offer in principle so hope next week will see things move a bit further forward). They are lucky that their current landlord is happy for them to continue with the flat until matters are sorted and the school place will be held open for my eldest grandson so we have everything still crossed at the moment.
We seem to stumble from one thing to another but then that is life, as they say.
Hope you are enjoying the garden now that we have a spell of decent weather. Take care, Jules x
Hi Brian
No news yet on Mum but working to the thought that no news is good newsand will pop and visit on Tuesday as usual unless I hear different. Just feel quite sad for her as she does not choose to speak to anyone now other than if it is unavoidable and she needs something. Must be so very hard for her dealing with it all on the inside and feeling unable to communicate. I suppose at least I will be able to tell her about my days out and show her the pictures.
Has been wonderful having the warmer weather and being able to get out and about without coats/brollies. Have a list in my head of day trips I am considering and hopefully my friend may be able to join me on occasion. It helps that we can both travel for free throughout inner and greater London and so many museums also have free entry.
Tomorrow I will get to the gym and do my weekly shop and see how I feel after today's long walk. Have an invite to a friends for BBQ if I decide not to put my feet up in my own garden.
Hope you, Mrs B and the family are keeping ok and that Mrs B's check up with the nurse went well,
Take care.Jules
Hi Jules, she's much better now though she's still stuck to the house and gets breathless if she walks to far. Onward and upwards!
Im going to London in July for 4 days with my daughter and Granddaughter So that should be fun always live going to London and spending money in the shops hope the weather good out for us. Also I'm going to go to Tenerife in September with my 2 daughters and the grandchildren, my oldest grand child is busy with university but was able to get the week off and come on holiday so that's good. We have a villa this time compared to Ibiza last year where we were in a hotel but had kitchen facilities. Good we have a villa so we can be at the pool as long as we want and not have other people's voices in the near distance. Makes for a better holiday. I said I wouldn't go away again but had a change of heart.
My two sons are not that bothered about holidays they just crack on with there lives though my daughters on the other hand are all about the spas, work days off and holidays abroad though they've always lived for the glam side of life they certainly don't get that from me lol
We had a good few days of weather last week but this week it has been utter shambles once again but it's always the same up here and I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow because my plan is to cut the hedges in the garden.
Take care -Diane x
