Hi Hazel
I was certainly surprised that the fox came right up to the door and showed absolutely no fear when I went closer to take the phot. He then calmly trotted off up the garden and under the fence (open wire type) and seems to follow the same route each time he visits. I do not put food at ground level (unless the hedgehogs are about in warmer weather) but am well aware how much the fox will scavenge given the chance. Seem to be left with pigeon feathers every so often too.
I think I will just have to run with my emotions (which creep up whether you like it or not sometimes) and know there will be also be some brilliantly happy memories being made on the day. I also suppose dwelling over my thoughts does not help and really do want them to have the best of celebrations. I think we will surprise ourselves in the end as often its the overthinking that rocks us more. Hubby would have been so proud and we will carry that with us on the day. My brother in law and sister in law will also no doubt find it emotional as have not seen them since the funeral so lots of family catch up time over a few days.
Having a quiet weekend coming up so hoping for dry weather to make my walking more pleasurable. Certainly a little warmer today and have been out in the garden tidying and preparing for the Birdwatch hour.
Thankfully have managed to stay on my feet during the slippery mornings though not sure my son's further parents in law will say the same as they are off ski-ing before the wedding and she has never been before!!! Just hope they don't regret that decision. Think they are due back the week before.
Take care of yourself. Jules x
Hi Sue,
It is good to have you back too. No doubt it will take a bit of time to play catch up with all the lovely photos that Brian has provided us with.............plenty of elephants to look at;) I will be happier when the better weather returns and have now added a pair of binoculars to help me spot potential photo opportunities and identification.
Hope you are keeping well. Take care. Jules x
Hi all hope your all well :)
Sue glad to see you back you seem to have a lot of trouble with gremlins hopefully that's you sorted for good !!
Hazel -Hope you get your results back soon and that everything is good. Hope you are well !
Jules - Hope you are well also like your pics !
My sister has been in hospital for a few days as her pacemaker stopped working she Wouldn't of had a clue if it hadn't of beeped. She was wondering why beeping was coming from her chest. She just got a new one fitted in and they are monitoring her to make sure it works. Apart from that she's fine.
Take care -Diane xx
Hi Sue, thanks for your good wishes re my scan. Still haven't heard, so am hoping it was okay - will find out on 6th.
So good to have you back - now all we need is Kim as well, I do hope he's alright.
Take care, keep well and warm.
Hazel xx
Hello Diane, lovely to hear from you - thanks for your good wishes.
I had to giggle (I know I shouldn't really, sorry!) picturing your sister wondering why her chest was bleeping! Hope the new pacemaker is working well, give her my best.
Take care of yourself, Hazel xx
Hi Hazel, I was laughing when she told me. She said she thought the bin men were out side side so she went out side and quickly ran with the bins down the street realising they weren't anywhere to be seen. Took her 2 hours to realise it was coming from her lol. She's fine and it's an easy procedure. She's dying to get home to her own bed. Hospital beds are uncomfortable.
Glad you got a wee giggle out of it hehe. Take care -Diane xx
Honestly Diane, both you and your sister are absolutely priceless!! As Hazel said, we really shouldn't laugh but.... take care and hope she is home soon Sue xx
Good to hear from you Diane and despite the beeping pacemaker it seems that your sister is ready to bounce back now that she has been 're-wired'. What an amazing lady she is and it must have been quite a sight with her chasing after imaginary bin men. Sorry like my other forum buddies I did chuckle at the thought. On a serious note hope she is soon back at home and well settled down again.
Hope you and the rest of your family are doing ok and no doubt looking forward to warmer weather (we are promised 9 degs today woo hoo).
Have a peaceful weekend and take care. Jules x
Hi Sue and Jules, I don't blame you at all for laughing as that's what I did haha. Got to make some light hearted fun out of it don't you. Or everything would be serious ! They say she could get home later on today so she's in good spirits about that. Me and my sister have been told by many we would make a great comedy act cause we're pretty similar lol.
Hope you are well Sue x
Im good Jules and family are well too. Hope you are well and hope you get some good weather. It's horrible up here so enjoy it while it lasts ! Take care -Diane xx
Hi Diane
Hope your sister was able to get home today as I always think recovery is quicker when you back in your own surroundings, especially from a sleep point of view!
Pretty good myself thanks and have made the most of a pretty decent day here today, sunny intervals and not as cold. Finished birthday and wedding present shopping for the month of February and also food shop as well as a bit of window shopping. Now if we get the promised rain tomorrow I will not have to carry shopping back. If it is not too bad I can go walking instead.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Jules x
