My Journey Continues

Hi all my forum buddies.  Just wanted to post on a new thread as it is more relevant than where my journey began.  Hope to see you here. Jules

  • Happy New Year Diane. Had a quiet New Year and reflective day today but into work tomorrow so hope my cold behaves itself!  Take care.  Jules

  • Hi Jules,

Good news at last regarding my son. After bieng told early this morning he could come home after he had got his medication sorted. We have finally just arived back from picking him up. When I spoke to him early this morning his exact words were, "Its not good news I;m afarid". My thoughts were he's being kept in a little longer, then his voice brightened up considerably as he said," You got to come and pick me up, please". A proper wind up merchant; not like his dad at all is my story and I'm sticking to it ha ha. You have never seen Mrs B get her coat on so quick when we finallty got the message he was ready for transport ha ha.

I hope work has not been to bad after the xmas holiday. I also hope your cold is better now.

To be quite honest, me and Mrs B are happy to see the back of Christmas this year for we couldnt enjoy it knowing our son was in hospital, even though they did allow him out for a while.

.Sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way, Brian.

  • Jules, I am so sorry I didn't mention your hubby yesterday, I hate missing these things, can't think how I did, stupid old woman.

I hope you remembered all the lovely things as well as the sadness.

    God bless, Hazel xx

  • Good news, Brian, let's hope all goes well from now on.

    Hazel xx

  • Hi Brian,  So pleased to read that your son is now home and do hope his recovery will continue apace.. can understand how you felt about Christmas  but let's hope 2017 will now  begin on a a good note for you all. As to your son being a wind up  merchant I think he had a great teacher. Bet there were some happy grandchildren when you got him home.

My cold is not so annoying now so hopefully on its way out. Work is full on now as we get the store rearranged  after Christmas and get ready for the yearly audit  at end if the month. They asked if I could go in to help with the count but unfortunately I  am otherwise engaged on the appropriate weekend. To be honest it is heavy work so not too sorry. Still will be involved with the build up activity.

Am looking forward to a day out with my son on Friday  and then in the evening have a social evening with my daughter before she goes away for the weekend. Looks as though we will be piling on the layers  again with minus temperatures forecast for tomorrow. Take care. Jules

  • No problem Hazel nd you are not stupid. We reflected and remembered in our own way but I  do try not to dwell on the sadness of it for too  long as there were many good things to look back on. The passage of time helps with the acceptance but perhaps not with the missing link and with our son's wedding next month there will be a few deep breaths to come whilst still feeling so excited for them. Will be smiling for two as hubby would have been such a proud Dad. Even writing about it is emotional.

Hope  your CT scan on Friday brings best possible news and will be thinking of you. Take care, jules xx

  • Hi Brian, that's great news let's hope he will have no more problems in the future. Take care -Diane x

  • Hi all, just a quick post before I go out and begin this week's effort to lose my chst as weight gain ha ha. Hope you have a peaceful day and wanted to let my forum buddies know that I  have had a message from Sue whose input I know we had been missing. Unfortunately it is the dreaded gremlins in her technology once again so she will be back as and when this is sorted.

Hazel, hope scan appointment went ok and all will be good when results are in.

    Take care everyone. Jules x

  • Thanks Jules, yes scan went okay.  Now just the waiting game we all know and love so well!!  I seem to get all sorts of aches and pains whenever a check-up is due, psychological I guess (hope!)

I am intrigued as to what 'chst' means - are you looking to lose your boobies-worth in weight?  :-)   (How do you weigh your boobies, I wonder in passing?)

So pleased that Sue is okay, if you can read this Sue, hello from me, and Happy New Year!

  • Hi Jules, loved your pictures and seemed like a fun time I would of loved to have went. I love that you like to keep your self slim and healthy wish others were like that. Glad that Sue is doing fine and like Hazel if your reading this Happy new year !!. Take care -Diane x
