Hi Brian
So sorry to read about your son's ankle problems and do hope that the hospital he has been transferred to can make things better for him and that he can be with the family for Christmas. Can imagine how worried you all must be. Sending hugs to you both and hope the news is good when it comes through.
It must also be very difficult for your sister in law (and the family) not to worry about her diagnosis and hope she has been able to have a proper consultation about her condition/treatment options which will enable her to understand more about her illness.
Thinking of you all. Jules x
Hi Hazel
The grandchildren all seem to be growing up so quickly. Have just had updated school pictures of both the boys which are lovely too. So looking forward to spending time with them all next weekend.
I have presents/cards to take in to Mum at the end of the week and hope they are received better than last year when she tried to give them back as she continues to wish she did not exist. It is really just so sad that her mental illness affects her this way. The residential home has some lovely activities available for them all to enjoy but cannot make them join in so suspect Mum will sit quietly whilst it all goes on around her. She constantly refuses to join any of the family but we do our best to understand and are happy that she is in a safe environment where they do their best to encourage her on a daily basis.
I am fortunate that I do not have to work any increased hours this week so just my normal shifts on Wednesday and Thursday before settling down to enjoy time with family this festive season. Hubby will be within our hearts, as he is every day, and know he would want us to bring new and happy memories to take us forward. There are always toasts to absent friends aren't there?
I hope you are keeping well and sending hugs and peaceful thoughts for the coming week. Jules x
Hi Jules,
Just an update on my son. The hospital have told him the surgeon who operated on his ankle must have nicked an artery that why he has been bleeding so much. They are operating on him this afternoon as they are worried if the artery ruptures, he could bleed to death. The long term is if he doesnt have enough ciculation, he may have to have his foot amputated. So not good news.
Thanks dor thinking of us, Brian
Oh Brian so upsetting for you all. Am wishing for the best possible outcome from his op. Too young to be going through such trauma. Hugs. Jules
Oh, my goodness, Brian, how awful for you all! I sincerely hope that today's op can stop the bleeding and the circulation returns. So, so sorry for you all, Brian, also your sister in law, so much worry. My thoughts are with you and you family.
Hazel xx
Hope your mum will accept her presents and cards this year, Jules, it is heartbreaking when you have put a lot of love into them, I know. Although she may not join in with the other residents, maybe just sitting quietly watching she gets some enjoyment in her own way.
Pleased to hear you have no extra hours this week, must be a madhouse! I'm sure you'll have a lovely Christmas with all your family, but I also know you will have some moments of sadness too, as all of us do who have loved and lost. Hubby will be smiling down on you all, watching over everyone.
Sending big hugs back, God bless.

Hi all hope everyone is well leading up to Christmas Day. Have had a cold and it has been effecting my chest because I have asthma but I've been very busy with Christmas presents and last minuet things and then wondering what to make on Christmas Day for dinner so I've been quite out of breath but got on with it anyway.
I'm going to pop into the shops on Friday and I'll get all my vegetables but I have my meat in the freezer and I'll be making soup amoung other things. Just about able to breathe haha. Take care all -Diane xx
Oh gosh Brian that's terrible. He will be in my thoughts and just hope his foot will not be amputated. Take care Brian and hugs !Diane
Hope the cold clears up before Christmas Diane and that you enjoy the festivities with the family. No doubt they will all muck in on the day; it is how we all cope as we support each other. Take care of yourself. Jules xx
