Hi all my forum buddies. Just wanted to post on a new thread as it is more relevant than where my journey began. Hope to see you here. Jules
HI all hope everyone is doing great. Sorry I haven't been on in forever but needed to take some time away and also my boiler broke and there was something wrong with the pipes leading away from the boiler under the floor so they had to rip up the floor and basically made a massive mess. Its a big one in the cupboard upstairs. It's all fine now and everything is back to normal.
Jules - is everything okay ? The thread wouldn't let me go back to see what you were saying so like I said hope everything is okay dear.
Hazel - Didn't think you would want to hear my boiler story lol so I didn't bother mentioning it to you Hun.
Brian - Hope your well and enjoying your wood club !!
Take care all -Diane xx
Hi Diane
Sounds like you been up to your eyes in messy boiler problems. Glad you have
it sorted now and hope your 'time out' also helped settle you. With the poorer weather about to descend you must be relieved that all is now fixed.
Thanks I am not too bad now. Basically was trying to sort mum's finances and had a bit of a low spell as it's at these times when could do with the steady rock to lean on. Sometimes just need to give myself a shake and remind myself it's ok to fall apart and then move on.
Hope you are well and your family also ok. Be kind to yourself. Jules xx
HI Jules, glad it is all sorted it was really cold in my house and pretty unlucky with the cold weather this time of year. Wouldn't of minded if it happened in the hot summer but when do we ever get a decent summer eh? aw that's ashame about the finances and listen we're all not perfect letting your self like you say fall apart is perfectly healthy and usually makes us feel better letting it all out. All you need to think about is that it will get all sorted out soon enough.
Family is fine and so am I. Just about to sit down to I'm a celeb. Take care -Diane xx
Thanks for your supportive words Diane. Life is full of 'blips' but with friends, real and virtual, and wonderful kids I am aware of how lucky I am.
Definitely got a bit damp and blown about a bit during my walk today but the autumn colours still stunning and was amazed that the high winds over night had not cleared all the branches! Visited the gym en route and then the Farmers and Artisans' Christmas Market so now have some lovely bread and cheese to enjoy for my lunch in front of the fire mmmmm.
Enjoy your Sunday. Jules x
Hi Jules,
I've just heard some bad news today regarding my sister in law. She was supposed to be having a new knee joint done some weeks ago, but it was cancelled after her pro op. She was told she had a high white blood count. After weeks of tests and hospital visits she has been told she is diabetic. But more worrying is she has been told she probably has chronic lymphatic Leukaemia. She has been told not to worry about it as it not the sort you die from but they wont know intil early in December when the blood tests have been diagnosed.
She is very low as her brother who has been ill for years was buried today about a year after she lost her husband. Plus both knees are very painful and they wont do the op until they know what she's suffering from. I am phoning her quite regular to try and cheer her up.
Bet work is getting busier now its getting nearer to Christmas Bet your grandchildren are getting more excited as the weeks get closer. Sending kind thought and best wishes to you and your family, Brian.
Hi Brian, My heart goes out to your sister in law. That's a lot of news to get and I have an old friend that was diagnosed with chronic lymphatic leukaemia years ago and she was told the cancer was growing in her for years apparently that's the type of cancer it is anyway I hope she's gets her knees sorted eventually and that her diabetes will be okay and that they will act on her diagnosis ! Take care Brian x
Hi Brian
Very sorry to read of your poor sister in law's health issues and must be worrying for you all. Hope the results of all the tests are soon through and that her knee op can go ahead too, at least help with the physical pain. The mental anguish of loss and stress is sometimes I think more difficult but know you will be giving as much as support as you are able. The sooner a complete diagnosis is reached, and any treatment can begin, the better. My best wishes are sent to you all at this difficult time.
Work is certainly busier and the town centre buzzing with those who hate the shopping experience! As well as increased foot fall we are also seeing more 'click and collect' customers so plenty of orders to process as they arrive too. Still those customers all help to pay my wages so we keep smiling.
With my son in law's trip to hospital and heart tests now complete we are feeling a little more settled and just hoping the results of the latest batch of blood tests bring good news too. If the pains he has been experiencing do prove to be muscular then it appears it will be painkillers for a while. Like many of us he could do we losing some weight though personally I am still struggling with that one!
My eldest grandson turns 8 next week so more focus on that than Christmas at the moment though I am sure the letters to Santa are under way!
Take care Brian and regards to MrsB and your family. Your forum buddies are here for you just as you have always been for us. Jules
Just a quick note as an old forum buddy has asked me to pass on greetings to those that know him. Garf is keeping well but rarely visits the forum these days but wanted to be remembered to everyone. Jules
Brian, I am so sorry I missed your post on here last week, and so, so sad to hear about your sister in law. Poor lady, with all those awful things happening in such a short space of time. Do please give her my very best wishes, I am sure your regular phone calls are a great comfort to her, just as your posts on here are to so many people.
Take care, my best to you and Mrs B.
Hazel xx
Thanks for passing on Garf's message, Jules. I don't think I ever corresponded with him but nevertheless am very pleased to hear he is keeping well and send my best wishes back to him.
