Thanks for the hints and tips Brian. Will look into trying them when I find products.  I like the natural look (the bowl was bought after I admired a similar one whilst on a family holiday a few years ago) but think it could do with 'feeding' as it is almost as though it is drying out!. Jules

Hilarious Hazel but am glad to say the bread supplied was a lot softer ha ha (though there were brown rolls included they were not quite so large!)
