Hi Diane
So pleased that today passed well for you all and that Rosemary had the send of she would have deserved. Good to have the company of your sister to travel with too. Enjoy that cuppa. Take care Jules x
Hi all
Had surprise visitors this afternoon. Latest photo below. An hour after they went home I had a garden visitor (been absent for a while!!) - another picture to share.
Hope every one has a relaxing evening. I am catching up on the tennis. Jules x
Awww...how cute is Darcey and I see the fox likes your new milk churn too?! Sue x
Hi Jules I can't get over how cute your granddaughter is brings me back to when mine where born. That fox looks like he's snooping around. Take care -Diane x
Hi Sue and Diane
I personally think all babies are cute but am biased when it comes to my grandsons/grand-daughter ha ha.
'Little' Darcey weighed in at 10lb this morning and clinic very pleased with Mum and baby.
Hope you both being kind to yourself. Take care. Jules x
Hi Jules that's great to hear baby and mother are doing well and hope that stays the same. The market was opened today so me and my sister went down and got some fruits etc and went back to mine. She just left as she has to go collect her granddaughter from college as her parents are at work. I'm currently mopping the whole ground floor but I'm letting the kitchen and dining room dry right now so I have made myself a cuppa and popped on here. Take care -Diane x
Afternoon all, sorry, having to play catch-up today on here, my cold has made me lazy!
Diane, I am so pleased the funeral went just as Rosemary would have wanted, and there were lots of people there.
Jules, thanks for the lovely photo of Darcey, she is a delight, and isn't she doing well?! Love the fox beside your new milk churn, which looks great with the grass in it. Pleased you had a good day at Woburn, and for a change the weather behaved itself!
Take care both, sending hugs to all.

Hi Hazel and Diane
Just a quick post before I head off to work.
Hazel hope you are feeling better each day; these colds seem to take longer to disappear and the damp weather does not help lift the spirits either.
Diane, I too love visiting the markets for fresh fruit and veg and it was great that you were able to spend quality time with your sister - it sounds as though she is doing very well. Nice that you are near to each other.
Am at the hospital with my daughter tomorrow to see how things are looking with the growth on her brain. They should have blood results in which can help them decide if it is linked to her hormonal gland and what and if treatment will be necessary (surgery) though they are leaning towards regular monitoring if it is not causing any issues. My son in law has the afternoon of work to look after Zack and do the school run. Would be good for her to know what's what before we go on holiday at end of next month. With our not so good summer so far I am craving a few days in the sun as are the rest of the family.
Darcey had her first visit to the docs yesterday evening bless her. Both she and her Mum have thrush so treatment underway. Not unusual in young babies and inevitably Mum has been infected (she is somewhat uncomfortable) but hopefully will be cleared up soon.
Hope you both have a good day. Take care. Jules xx
Afternoon, Jules, hope you didn't get wet/blown off your feet going to work! I shouldn't have tempted providence saying Sue had brought the sunshine back with her!
I have felt a bit worse for wear today, one day the cold seems better, next I'm coughing and sneezing again. The worse thing is the cold sores in my nose, I knew I'd get the blooming things, always do, and they are really painful when I blow my nose. Still, managed to get to the hairdresser this afternoon for a much needed trim and blow dry - which was promptly blown to bits as soon as I came out! .
I do hope that your daughter's visit to hospital tomorrow has a result, one way or another, so treatment can be decided before your hols. I'm so sorry, Jules, I didn't know about this problem she has, must be worrying for you all to say the least.
Ah, poor little Darcey, and poor Mum! :-( Hope both respond quickly to treatment.
Lots of worries for you, so sending a big hug.
Hazel xx
Hi Hazel
The cold is bad enough but to have sores in your nose too, you poor thing, so very painful and you must dread your nose running let alone the sneezing that goes with it. I am not surprised you feel rough and not an easy area to do much about.
No problems with the weather going into work as was still dry. Return commute a different story! I came out to driving rain and blustery wind so just as well I had my waterproof with me as an umbrella was a waste of time ha ha. Did some shopping and then came straight home and was glad to get indoors I can tell you.
My daughter found out about the growth 'by accident' when it showed up on an MRI she was having when they were investigating her last fainting episode (not connected by the way). She has not had any symptoms so far which is why they have been monitoring about every 3 months. She has been told that this kind of tumour is generally benign and they leave well alone so hopefully this will remain the case. She has been very grateful for the thorough investigations but as with anything like this it makes you feel a bit jittery when appointments come round and they are looking at her latest blood tests which show hormone levels. My son in law normally goes with her but because of the timing he cannot be in two places at once (eldest son needs collecting from school) so I was able to get a holiday day as she had been planning to go on her own.
Hope having your hair done helped make you feel a little better even though the weather did not help keep it in place afterwards!! I am going to get mine cut tomorrow morning as might as well make the most of the extra time off.
Feel very frustrated that I cannot mow the lawn as it is far too wet but have a nice showing of buttercups and daisies instead. I did manage to trim back some of the Spring flowering shrubs yesterday before visiting my Mum but it was a quick dash round with the shears I can tell you. Perhaps if the Summer does arrive it will last into the Autumn and we can play catch up outside - I hope so. At the moment it is so dull I have the lights on inside, crazy.
Thanks for the hugs which are happily returned in the hope that you will soon be over this very nasty cold virus. Be kind to yourself. Jules xx
