  • Hi George aww poor doggie she's a fighter by the looks of it. I am sure she still has plenty of time in her she will just have to go more slowly now (I hope). Once we reach out 70s it seems we all have scans at some point and doctors appointments doesn't it ? I sure get fed up with it. Just had my results back from my scan and I'm still cancer free (Had liver/bowel cancer last year) so I cracked open a bottle of wine and gulped 2 glasses down ha ha. You must look quite good if everyone says so for 83 that's really good. I don't have many wrinkles thankfully on my old age but the occasion bags under eyes do occur ;) -Take care and hope your little Ria feels a little better -Diane x

  • Hi George

Sorry to read that you had a dodgy day yesterday and hope taking it easy in bed means you will feel a little easier in yourself today.  I doubt Ria strayed far from your side and as you both love those walks hope a little one might be manageable.  Better weather would also help - raining here again this morning.

My roses too have taken a bit of a beating with the recent wind/heavy rain but I managed to cut some for the house so enjoying them on the inside.

Waiting for scan results can be very frustrating so hope you hear something soon and that your forthcoming appointments go well.  Be kind to yourself. Sending hugs and a pat for Ria. Jules x

  • Hi George,

Hope you are feeling better today, you must have felt poorly as your not the one to stay on bed.

I have been told I look good too for my age. Mind you the person saying it was drunk at the time ha ha.

Mrs B keeps me on my toes I assure you.

Take care sending best wishes to you, Brian.

  • Hello George, so sorry to read that you had such a rotten day yesterday, hope you are feeling a bit better today, it's horrible having to stay in bed when there are other things to do.  Fingers and everything crossed for your scan result, too, it's a constant waiting game when you have/have had this blooming disease, isn't it?

Has your little bessy mate Ria been to see the vet yet, George?  Fingers are crossed for her as well as you - I am pleased that she is still eating well and doesn't seem to be in pain, all good signs I hope.

Take good care of yourself, and another cuddle for Ria from me!

    Hazel xx

  • Hi Haz ,Had few very bad days in bed most ot the time not eating still ten days to go on the drugs then try to get some food in family been fantastic my anne is my angel/nurse/pill pusher, and dog walker, what would i do without her ?.regards lol george

  • Oh, George, so sorry to hear this.  Is it the drugs you are on making you feel so bad?    Why not ask the hospital or your GP about it, I'm sure someone can do something to help, you can't go on like this.  It must be hard work for your lovely Anne too, which no doubt worries you as well, though I know you'd do the same for her if the positions were reversed.

Sending my love to you both and Ria, of course, and keeping you in my thoughts.

  • To my forum buddy George so sad to hear that you are suffering at the moment and hope that your medical team can find a way to relieve your pain and symptoms as soon as possible.  You have a wonderfully supportive family  and I bet your pal Ria has been dragging Anne walkies very quickly so they can both be back to keep you company.

Sending big hugs to you all and hope you see improvements soon.  Best wishes from Jules xxx

  • Afternoon George, how are you now?  I hope you're feeling a bit better, with the help and love of Anne and little Ria.

Thinking of you all, God bless.

I am no good at doing nothing I like my garden it is the best in the road so say all .??Take care  keep well lol

  • Hi George

Glad you were able to get into the garden for a while and take rascal Ria for short walks.  The pain must be very tiring as I know you like to be out and about. Hope the blood tests will give them something to work with as regards possible change in medication to make you more comfortable.  You need something to take with some of the red stuff;).  Will be thinking of you on Monday when you go for your next big appointment.Sending hugs  Jules x
