  •  Jules I have said many times you are one fantastic lady ,had a few funny days lots of times on the loo she indoors said you eat the wrong food .????? regards george lol

  • Oh Geroge, there is nothing special about me I can assure you.  I see  you were burning the midnight oil again .'She indoors' as you put it may well be right but then you have to enjoy your food if she wants you to eat. One of my Sisters in law has a genetic illness similar to Crohns (cannot remember it's name!) and visiting the loo regularly is part and parcel of her daily life and has been since she was 18 when she was diagnosed.  She knows what she ought to eat to help control the symptoms but says plain chicken and rice etc is not for her and she would rather enjoy her meals and take the consequences but I know it makes life restrictive at times  (and pretty sore too).Hope you feel better today  and that  you are able to enjoy a stroll with rascal Ria. Sending hugs.  Jules

  • Hi  Flower .I have a long history of chrohns had a op in the 70s emi-colectomi ?a large lump of gut removed they let me see it in the lab it looked like 3 Lbs of tripe.Well I was a butcher ,crohns runs in our family my brother has it.Nasty have to look at what you eat .Hope you are well and warm.LOL george

  • Thanks George, I am doing okay and just about to enjoy a week's leave (well I only work two days now anyway but it will still be nice to have some relaxation). Your illness and that of my sister in law are extremely similar and butcher or not, do not like the sound of the 'tripe' whether on the butcher's slab or in a lab.  Having to watch your diet every day can be so frustrating and I am sure causes much discomfort/pain at times.  Be kind to yourself and take care.  Jules

  • HI flower yes I have had a nightcap but watched a good film first, miss Bullock is great .Still some pain but had some great walks with the rat bag RIA she is my JYM  and mate without her I am nowt .Just making plans for our big wedding day 60 years on Augt 4th ,my god .A week on angelsey paid for by the family .regards take care  lol george

  • Hi George

So you are a fan of Sandra Bullock; my son in law feels the same way! How wonderful to have your 60th wedding anniversary treat at your favourite spot - BBQ fish here you both come - Ria will make a great 'bridesmaid'  for the occasion.  I am so pleased that you are still able to enjoy good walks with rasccal RIA - she is definitely your 'man's best friend'.  Stay warm.  I will have many layers on as I walk to visit my Mum today - thick frost here. Take care.  Jules x

  • Evening, George,

Hope you are okay and enjoying your walks with Ria.  Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your scan tomorrow!

    Take care, Hazel x

  • Morning George

Just a quick post to wish you well with the scan appointment.  Good to see that you are still walking with Ria and enjoying nature and the family around you. You are a young at heart nearly 83 and hope they can sort the back pain out.  Lugging meat for years must take it's toll but would be good if they could give some good painkillers to make life more comfortable for you.  Sending hugs. Jules x

  • Hi All the scan went OK nice lady but I think they are taking to much notice of our new GP the pain is in the lower back rib cage and that scan was taken on the tummy .But will hear in about 5 days they said .Other than that the weather here as been fantastic  just rap up well and get out there plenty of sun but very cold ..regards lol george
